Psalm 1:3
- Popular Bible Verse Series
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. - Psalm 1:3
Psalm 1:1 instructs us on what not to do to be blessed, while Psalm 1:2 tells us what to do. In this post, I explore what it means to be a blessed person who prospers, as described in Psalm 1:3.
The psalmist uses the analogy of a fruitful tree planted by streams of water to show how people prosper by following God’s guidance. To be blessed, we must avoid aligning with the wicked, sinners, or scoffers and instead delight in God’s Word, meditating on it day and night.
Indeed, we can all testify to the truth of these verses: by following God’s instructions, we experience His blessings and prosperity.
