Chongqing itinerary
- Hotel: Staying near Jiefangbei (Liberation Monument) is the most convenient option. Most of the main classic attractions in the city center are close to Jiefangbei, and the subway is also very convenient.
We have currently booked 3 riverside king rooms for you. Please let us know if you need any adjustments — for example, if you prefer twin beds instead, or city-view rooms. - May 12th Itinerary:
After arriving at noon, check into the hotel. Then stroll around Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, where you can try some local Chongqing snacks. After that, experience the Yangtze River Cableway.
Once you get off the cableway, you’ll be in Shangxin Street on the south bank. Walk down to Xiahaoli Old Street (going downhill along the stone steps) to experience the more authentic old Chongqing residential area.
When you exit Xiahaoli, you’ll reach Nanbin Road. Walk along it to the hotpot restaurant for dinner and enjoy the beautiful riverside night view of Chongqing.
After dinner, take a taxi to the head of Qiansimen Bridge. Walk across the bridge — you can take photos from various angles of Chongqing’s stunning night scenery.
After crossing the bridge, walk to the bottom level of Hongya Cave and explore it (walking uphill along the steps). When you exit from the top level of Hongya Cave, you’ll be back at Jiefangbei. From there, it’s just a short walk back to the hotel. - May 13th Itinerary:
Full-day tour to Wulong.
After returning to the city in the evening, have dinner at Chaotianmen Square and enjoy the night view of Chongqing from there. Then walk back to the hotel from Chaotianmen Square. - May 14th Itinerary:
In the morning, visit Ciqikou Ancient Town in Shapingba.
Depending on the timing, before or after lunch, go to Liziba to see the famous “train passing through the building,” then head to Eling to walk a section of the Mid-Level Cliff Trail and enjoy the mountain city scenery.
After that, return to Jiefangbei. If there’s time, you can walk through Shancheng Xiang (Mountain City Alley) to experience the old charm of the mountain city.
In the evening, pick up your luggage from the hotel and head to the high-speed rail station.
Lunch on this day can be arranged flexibly depending on the actual schedule and location.
Let me know if you’d like a more formal version or any adjustments!
